                                                            Interview by Michael Clarke

Mike Clarke had the opportunity to interview Akamine Sensei with his last visit to Okinawa and wrote a fascinating article on out president. Please check the Australian Sports and Fitness Magazine at www.sportzblitz.net  September issue " and found it noted under "Features". The article/interview with Akamine sensei is well written and will run third in a six part series of articles arising from Mike's trip to Okinawa.
The magazine is distributed all around Australia, New Zealand, and the Southern Pacific.
Thanks to Mike for his effort from us all

Spreading the word

When Vermiglio Sensei received an invitation to train with Franco Sanguinetti Sensei (USA) of the Matayoshi Kobudo(http://www.bushikan.com/Sensei/SenseiIndex.htm) he, along with 4 of his students, attended without hesitation.  The two day session was held at the Leeds University, UK. Apart from training with and getting to know Sanguinetti Sensei and his students, the prime function of such a meeting is to throw light on the profound importance of supporting each other in martial arts as a whole. No matter what school of Okinawan karate or kobudo we come from, we all have a part to play. Preservation and Promotion of Okinawan karate and kobudo must be done together and in a non-selfish way to truly be successful.
